Will my thigh muscles grow after cycling a lot?

I am a cyclist and often take cycling trips. I am not in my top physical condition yet, but i'm on my way. When i wear my cycling clothes i'm nothing but skin and bones. My legs are small and thin. Will this change after a while?

  1. i know this from a friend who cycles, his leg muscles are not bigger, but they have gotten tighter. He told me that eventually they will become tight and be able to maintain long runs. You may not see the difference but you will definitely feel it. He said that your leg muscles will be defined more but not bigger basically. Hope this helps.
  2. If you are riding hard with clipless pedals your calves and thighs should become larger and more defined. Unfortunately, genetics also plays a role. Some people have big legs and some people will forever have twig legs.
  3. yes just for now dont wear cycling clothes and noone will notice try cycling in really bad gears for the terrain it helps you get more exercise
  4. They're get tighter, but not a lot bigger. The guys with the monster thighs on are their bike 8 hours a day, 8 days a week.
