Why Adding Variations to Abs Routines is Important
There are lots of exercises that you can do for your abs routines. Often people will pick 1 or 2, and stick with those. Although you will get some results with this, it will not lead to all round core development.
The thought of having a six pack on your stomach will make you feel good about yourself. A six pack that can be seen improve the look of your whole body. A lot of people tend to forget the other health benefits that a strong stomach will provide.
Strong stomach muscles act as protection for your internal organs. If the stomach area is too fat, the weight of it will be forced forwards. This can often result in your organs not getting the protection that they need, along with a chance of some of them being slightly dislodged. A variety of stomach exercises will target the all round area of the core region.
Any stomach exercise is only productive if you are going to do it on a regular basis. Even the best abs workout or ab machine is going to be useless, unless you are prepared to do it on a consistent basis. The other thing you need to think about is ab machines. Although productive, ab machines are not neccessary to obtain a six pack. There are plenty of abs routines that will give you the results that you desire. It doesn't matter which stomach exercises you choose to do. the point is that effort from you is needed. There are no shortcuts.
Your obliques, middle, upper, lower areas of the stomach all need to be targeted, also remember to do your lower back. All these areas are connected, and by focusing on all the areas, you will get a full core workout and your stomach area will look fantastic. Having a strong stomach will provide benefits in other areas as well.
You should try to include different exercises for your abs routines, here is a sample of a few.
Crunches
Doing crunches holding onto a weight
Doing crunches to the sides
Leg lifts with a weight
Squatting by holding a weight to the front of your body
Plank
The side plank
Sit Ups
Side Bends
Twisting side to side with a bar
Leg Raises
These are just a few core exercises that you can do as part of your abs workouts. Look at finding exercises that you are going to find suitable. You may have to try some different ways at first, but it will be worth it. Your all round core area will look a lot better by hitting more different areas of the core.
Try not to forget that although training your stomach, will make it stronger, your abs will not be seen unless you get rid of the fat that surrounds them. This will mean making changes to your diet, along with having a variety of stomach exercises as part of your abs routines
