Vegetarian Diet is not the Ultimate Answer
Researches have concluded that vegetarians are less likely to develop heart condition, arterial hypertension or strokes, but they are not protected against them. The causes of these benefic effects is represented by the fact that the vegetarian diet furnishes very little saturated fats, and the level of blood cholesterol is very low.
It is believed that vegetarians are also protected against cancer. This doesn’t mean this is a healthy way to live. It’s a known fact that living healthy means living with moderation, not with prohibitions.
Many people search fat loss secret recipes, things that can make them magically get rid of unwanted pounds, and some of them come across a vegetarian diet eventually, and think they have found the right type of alimentary program they have been searching for so long. In general, vegetarians pay more attention to their alimentation, don’t smoke and practice sports. All these automatically sign them up for a healthier lifestyle. If vegetarian would only exclude a few aliments, then they could have a balanced diet. On the other hand, in the situations when aliments are excluded in great numbers, like in the strictly vegetarian diet, sticking to the diet is very difficult sometimes.
According to specialty studies that verified the nutrition state of vegetarians, the alimentary aport of vitamins like D and B12 and minerals like iron, calcium and zinc is lower than the recommended values and has irreversible repercussions on health.
The truth is that vegetarians are a group of people that, without having to feel hungry of malnourished, will slowly degrade the healthy body cell. But even if they feel full, their body cells will not get enough elements to stay healthy. The thin tissue that surrounds cells will lose it’s protein composition in time and the bone density will decrease. Here, we should remind ourselves of osteoporosis, a bone condition that is encountered mostly in women or even men who did not eat enough calcium based aliments during their lives.
The smart diets will always be based on balance and will never prohibit the consumption of essential elements. These diets should be based on moderation, on general health and not on starving ourselves or our bodies. Vegetarians may be thinner and look more active than the rest of people, but in fact they are much more ill inside or will become in the near future, in case their diets are exclusive and kept for many years.
