Everyone has wondered at some point in time which cardiovascular fitness exercise is better. To make it simpler, you can burn more body fat by using both low and high intensity exercises. Problem is, which exercise will burn your body fat more effectively.

When scientists first discovered that during  intensive fitness training  or exercises, your body burns glycogen, which is a form of stored carbohydrates that are stored in your liver and muscles for energy. During low intensity exercise programs or exercises, your body will burn a lot of fat.

Obviously, many obese people are still easily spotted, rendering this useless. Even though they are working out with low intensity exercise routine, it still makes you wonder how it can be.

The scientists were right when they said the human body burns more body fat during low intensity exercise routine like walking or swimming.Your body can burn a lot more calories during  high intensity exercise  like running.The calories burnt are both from glycogen and fat.

Better yet, when your carbohydrate intakes are not used as energy source, it will be converted into glycogen instead of body fat to fill up your low glycogen level.

Even after you complete your  high intensity cardiovascular fitness exercise , your metabolism will still get worked up. What this means, is that your body will continue to burn body fat hours after you have left the gym. Do not expect for such an effect through low intensity cardio or aerobic exercise.

Of course, high intensity cardiovascular fitness exercise will burn more calories during and after the workout than low intensity ones will.

Some interval training can provide the base of  high intensity exercise  programs in your cardio activities. You can walk for 5 minutes or so, then break into some jogging for another 5 minutes or so. Catch your breath by alternating between short walks and one minute sprints.Now, just shift between walking and running during the next 15 minutes until you’re finished.

One of the best things about cardiovascular fitness exercise is the more you do it, the more energy you’ll have. Cardio helps you more in maitaining high energy level than burning calories.

Try cardio if you haven’t done this one before.Taking cardio exercise programs are the best way to improve your energy level as weel as keeping in your best shape, if you like to exercise that is. If you are just starting out, you’ll want to go slow and keep your cardiovascular fitness exercise on track – as it is very easy to over exert yourself.
