If your muscles grow when they rest, should I eat more on my off days?

i lift mon-thurs
i lift 1 hr and treadmill for 40-45 min
my off days are fri sat and sun
should i eat more on these days because thats when they grow? i usually eat around 1000 extra calories a day on those days

  1. First of all you really shouldn't lift on back to back days. Try lifting mon-wed-fri and take off tues-sat-sun. And as far as eating extra on your days of, it's not necessary. It's better that you keep your calorie intake the same no matter what day it is.
