If you’re asking what an interval workout is That’s a good question. These types of fat loss workouts are intended to mimic that of sports, the short burst of energy and then rest for a short period of time, and then start it all over again. 

Now an example of this would be, let’s say you enjoy walking. As a rule people just walk and walk for miles, more often than not at the same pace, never changing speeds. But if you add in the interval system within your walking workout, you’ll vary speeds every so often, hence the “intervals.”

Let’s begin to break this down.. First, be sure to always warm up before you’re doing any type of exercising and make sure you stretch to avoid any injuries. Instead of walking at the same pace you’ll want to part your walk into intervals and change speeds. After as you’ve completed your 3-5 minute warm  you’ll start if off by walking at fast pace for 30 seconds,(high intensity) once that 30 seconds is up, then walk at your usual pace for 1 minute.(low intensity). In that case, start walking again, at a quick pace, but now for 45 seconds, once the 45 seconds is up then walks again at your standard pace again for 1 minute (low intensity). 

 

You’re now going to walk  fast  for 60 seconds. After you have finished that, walk at your normal  pace again for the 1 minute. Lastly, you’ll walk fast for 90 seconds and then walk at your regular  pace once again for 60 seconds. Once you get to that 90 second mark, you’ll begin backing it down. Then after your 90 second interval, take off into your 60 second interval (high intensity), making sure you walk at your regular  pace for 1 minute (low intensity) after every high intensity you do.

Then onto 45 seconds, back down to 30 seconds, which is where you started. Doing one of these pyramid fat loss workouts, which is the walking workout I just described to you, should take approximately 15 minutes to finish. So let’s say you normally walk for 30 minutes, you simply would do 2 pyramids, which should take you 30 minutes to finish. . Always remember to do some type of cool down after you’re all done exercising. 

Combine interval exercises with your desired type of exercise, you’ll begin to notice a change in your physical appearance and even the way you feel. What happens is when you finish this type of fat loss workout, your body continues to burn calories long after you are done exercising.
