3 Exercises to Help You Get Taller Through Stretching

One of the best ways to grow taller is exercise. When muscles in particular regions like the upper and lower back are regularly exercised, they become stronger and cause the vertebral column to elongate. The inter-vertebral compression eases due to the strong muscles surrounding it, leading to increase in height.

Those regions can be subjected to several types of exercise with different levels of intensity and usefulness. Let us see three such exercises.

Trunk Twist - This is an exercise that works out your backbone and abs simultaneously. The Trunk Twist closely resembles the usual  sit-ups  that you may have regularly done.

Lay a mat in a roomy place and lie down on your back. Fix your feet under an object strong enough to tolerate the full might of your body. Else you will haul it over you.

This may sound like a regular round of sit-ups  but it’s not the same. You’ll be holding the same position, halfway between a lying and erect sitting position, and once there, you’ll be swiveling slowly to each side, with your hands clasped behind your head to help hold you in place. Do turns to each side 5 times per sitting.

Roll Over Stretch - You need a degree of suppleness to go about this stretching routine. Lying on your back arms flat at your sides, use your upper body to help lift your legs up into the air and over your body, coming down on the other side behind you. Once your feet have touched down behind you, lower your shoulders back down to the ground as much as you can to get into an ideal position to help stretch out your back. Hold this position for 20-30 seconds each time.

Wall Bridge - The third exercise we shall be examining is the Wall Bridge, a standing exercise. Stay a couple of feet clear of a wall with your back towards it. You may need to alter this distance to see what is most comfortable for you. Just be sure that you can reach your hands to the wall. Now, bend backwards and let your hands touch the wall. Slowly walk down the wall with your palms to as much distance as possible for you. Then reverse the direction and come back to the starting point. Push off and come back into standing position. This exercise is fantastic for your lower back too.

We saw three examples of  how to exercise  in order to increase your height. Try them out and see if you like them and whether they help you become taller. Once you incorporate them into your daily regimen you will definitely see the results after a few weeks.
